Lina Sinha & Wildlife

Lots of people love animals and even more so the animals that are deemed to be exotic because they are not native to the area, region, or continent. You don’t go to a zoo to ogle at a brown squirrel that you can just as easily find in your own backyard. And you probably don’t jump for joy when a robin comes and eats out of your bird feeder.

That is why going to your nearest zoo can be so exciting. The animals you find in zoos are more than likely the ones that you’ve seen most on television or a documentary. The animals you enjoy most may even be on an endangered animals list and you feel both saddened and thrilled that you can see one in person while knowing in the back of your mind that their numbers are few and the species’ time may be limited.

Thankfully, there are many people who support protecting wildlife and Lina Sinha is one of them. She loves animals of all kinds; whether they are domestic animals that you can find in almost any home or they are animals you see primarily in the zoo or a TV documentary. And her love for animals may be contributed in part to her parents who helped set up the first veterinary hospital in India.

Lina Sinha’s involvement with wildlife conservation most recently, however, comes in the form of her own donations to the New York Aquarium where she donated to the Wildlife Conservation Society in 2011 for penguins. And then, most recently in 2012, where she donated money to the Bronx Zoo directed towards caring for lions.

Lina Sinha cares deeply for animals and wants to help aid and care for them. Without donations, zoos may not be able to fully fund the projects and programs needed to keep animals happy and healthy. And by donating to her local zoo, she helps keep the animals healthy, well-fed, and safe so others may enjoy them as well.
